Environmental Management for Livelihood Improvement Bwaise Facility (EMLI)

The Board

Dr. Justine Jjumba Namaalwa.

Justine is the chairperson Board of Advisors at EMLI . She is a senior lecturer at the Department of Environmental Management, School of Forestry, Environmental and Geographical Sciences, College of Environmental and Agricultural sciences (CAES) at Makerere University with expertise in Biophysical Modeling, Forest Economics, Resource Modeling and Resources Assesment.  She is a member to a number of reputable committees such as the National REDD+ working committee.

Dr. Enock Ssekuubwa.

Enock the vice-chairperson Board of Advisors at EMLI. Enock is also the Assistant Lecturer at the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Department of Forestry, Biodiversity and Toursm - He has done a lot of work on Forestry, Environmental and Geographical Sciences both at regional and international level.



Sydah Naigaga.

Sydah is the Treasurer Board of Advisors at EMLI. She is a Forestry graduate from Makerere University. She has written papers in the field of Community Forestry and Extension and is experienced in Gender and Counseling.  Sydah brings vast experience in not-for profit management and patnership development.



 Nagawa Jane Mary.

Jane is a member Board Advisors at EMLI. She is also the chairperson of Women and Children in Action for Human Rights (WICAH), a local NGO that seeks to empower women and children especially those affected by HIV and AIDS. Jane has passion and has worked over the years to change lives and improve livelihoods of the most vulnerable girls in Uganda.



Robert Bakiika.

Robert is the interim secretary to the Board of Advisors at EMLI.  Robert devotes part of his time to Science-Policy interface thus influencing national, regional and global policy agenda.  He has worked on a number of public policy issues such as: Financing for Climate Change and Environment and Natural Resources, Climate Justice, Livelihoods and Environmental Governance among others.
