Environmental Management for Livelihood Improvement Bwaise Facility (EMLI)

The Board

Prof. John RS. Kabogoza.

Is the chairman Board of Advisors of EMLI Bwaise Facility. He has served on a number of Boards and Committees including Ecotrust and Environmental Alert and former Dean, Faculty of Forestry and Nature Conservation. He has done alot of academic work on natural resources management in addition to supporting the formulation of the Uganda Forestry Policy (2001). He is a mentor in the following disciplines: Modeling, Natural Resources Management, Forestry Products Engineering, Environmental Management of Oil and Gas. Currently, he serves as the Senior Technical Advisor-Academic Programs for the USAID/EMOS Project.

Assoc. Prof. Gorettie N. Nabanoga.

Is the vice-chairperson Board of Advisors of EMLI Bwaise Facility. Gorettie is also the Deputy Principle, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES), Makerere University, and holds a PhD in Gender and Natural resources Management. She has done a lot of work on Management of Natural resources and Sustainable Agriculture both at regional and international level.

Patrick Byakagaba (PhD)

Is a member to the Advisory Board of EMLI Bwaise Facility. Patrick is an Environment and Natural Resources Governance Specialist currently lecturing at School of Forestry, Environmental and Geographical Sciences, Makerere University. He has conducted research and published in peer reviewed journals and books in the fields of forestry, environmental governance, natural resource management and land policy. He has been awarded numerous research grants such as Carnegie Corporation of New York and Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).
