Who We Are

Environmental Management for Livelihood Improvement Bwaise Facility (EMLI) is a national membership environmental non-governmental and non-profit making organization (S.5914/7912) founded in 2007.
 An empowered, healthy and self sustaining community that focuses on forms and processes of development that do not compromise the integrity of the environment and meets the needs of the most vulnerable. 
 To improve the standards of living of the most vulnerable people in Uganda by ensuring sustainable livelihood.

What we do
EMLI works with others to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable communities by empowering communities formulate and implement development plans and programmes that promote sustainable development. We apply rigorous knowledge to inform, advocate and lobby for sound environmentally friendly policies through a community centred approach.
Currently we operate through the entire country with other partners and member organizations.
